Dr. Ruth Kaplan Treiber, MD is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology with a longstanding commitment to thoughtful, personalized care. For more than four decades, she has cared for generations of families in Westchester and is known for her warm, comprehensive approach and dedication to building lasting patient relationships. Education and Training

Dr. Treiber graduated from Cornell University and earned her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College (now Weill Cornell Medicine). She completed residency training in Internal Medicine at NewYork Hospital–Cornell Medical Center before pursuing her dermatology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center (now NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center).

Academic Leadership

Since establishing her practice in Rye in 1983, Dr. Treiber has remained deeply committed to both patient care and medical education. She serves as Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University and Associate Attending in Dermatology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, where she has taught generations of dermatology residents, medical residents, and students.

Dr. Treiber’s clinical interests include skin cancer detection and prevention, acne, rosacea, cosmetic rejuvenation, and treatments designed to improve the appearance of aging and sun-damaged skin, including neuromodulators and laser procedures. She is particularly passionate about educating patients and helping them maintain healthy skin throughout every stage of life.
